Hillary on Her Health
Clinton Didn't Think Pneumonia Would Be 'That Big a Deal'
Hillary Clinton said she didn't disclose that she had pneumonia last week because she "didn't think it was going to be that big a deal," she said in an interview Monday night. Clinton's health has long-dogged her on the campaign trail, but came into focus this weekend when she lost her balance outside a van after a 9/11 ceremony in New York City Sunday. Clinton had previously attributed a cough she had to allergies, but she was diagnosed Friday with pneumonia, her doctor said. "I'm feeling so much better, and obviously I should have gotten some rest sooner," she told CNN's Anderson Cooper by phone Monday. "I just thought I could keep going forward and power through it and obviously that didn't work out so well." ABC's TOM LIDDY has more. http://abcn.ws/2caWFvz

'No Other Undisclosed Condition,' Campaign Says
Clinton's campaign is working with the candidate's doctor to release "additional medical information" in the next couple of days, campaign press secretary Brian Fallon said Monday in an interview on MSNBC. "We'll release that to further put to rest any lingering concerns about what you saw yesterday." More from ABC's JOSH HASKELL. http://abcn.ws/2cqQ9kQ

Happening Today - Pence Returns to Capitol Hill
Mike Pence will meet with House Republicans this morning during the weekly conference meeting, ABC's BENJAMIN SIEGEL notes. "Mike has added tremendous value to Donald Trump's campaign and House Republicans are excited to learn more about their plans to succeed in November and get our nation back on track," House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, said in a statement welcoming Pence to Capitol Hill. Pence served in the House for more than a decade before running for governor of Indiana. He remains close with many of the conservative members of the lower chamber. Since joining Trump's ticket, Pence has served as an intermediary between the controversial nominee and the Republican establishment, helping to mend frayed relationships after the GOP presidential primary season. http://abcn.ws/2csEmSM

ABC News Talks to Voters in Battleground State of Ohio
The old adage "all politics is local" was never more evident than on Monday night at the Williams County Fair in Ohio, ABC's MARYALICE PARKS and GARY WESTPHALEN note. People from this rural, northwest corner of the state talked about their concern over a lack of jobs in their towns. They were worried about their sons and daughters in the military. Forget questions about Clinton's health or Trump's temperament. On the whole, folks wanted to talk about policy issues: immigration, the economy, violence in inner cities (ironic in a town of 4,050?), and a sense of disunity -- racial and political -- pervasive in the county. Pence Facing Heat for Declining to Call David Duke 'Deplorable'
Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence is facing heat for declining to use the term "deplorable" to describe former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. "I'm not in the name-calling business, Wolf. You know me better than that," Pence told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Monday. Pence's comments came as he was slamming Hillary Clinton for saying last week that half of Trump's supporters are "in the basket of deplorables." When Blitzer pointed out that Duke was a Trump supporter and could fit that category, Pence responded he and Trump had repeatedly disavowed Duke, ABC's INES DE LA CUETARA reports. "I'm not really sure why the media keeps dropping David Duke's name. Donald Trump has denounced David Duke repeatedly. We don't want his support and we don't want the support of the people who think like him," he said. http://abcn.ws/2c4T6Dz

Bill Clinton Says Hillary 'Got Dehydrated' During 9/11 Service
President Bill Clinton addressed his wife's health for the first time Monday in an interview with Charlie Rose, saying that she "got dehydrated" during a 9/11 ceremony in New York. "Rarely, on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing's happened to her when she got severely dehydrated, and she's worked like a demon, as you know, as Secretary of State, as a senator, and in the years since," said the president. President Clinton said he believed that his wife made the right decision to temporarily come off the campaign trail, abiding by her doctors suggestions to rest. President Clinton will temporarily fill in for the former secretary of state, headlining two fundraisers in Los Angeles today, and he will also campaign in Nevada on her behalf on Wednesday, according to ABC's MATTHEW CLAIBORNE. He said that he is confident Hillary Clinton will be back on the campaign trail soon and that "she's doing fine." http://abcn.ws/2cT1sR2

Trump Calls on Hillary Clinton to 'Retract' Her 'Basket of Deplorables' Comment
Calling on Hillary Clinton to "retract her comments in full," Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump hit back at her recent reference to some of his supporters as a "basket of deplorables." "I was, thus, deeply shocked and alarmed this Friday to hear my opponent attack, slander, smear, demean these wonderful, amazing people who are supporting our campaign by the millions," Trump said Monday, addressing the National Guard Association in Baltimore. Clinton, speaking Friday night at an LGBT for Hillary gala, made the comments that Trump and his campaign slammed the next day as "insulting."
