Tuesday means we're that much closer to Thanksgiving.

Subscribe here and then let's get stuffed with some political news.

Trump talks Moore

So, it wasn't an endorsement. But it may as well have been.

As he prepared to leave for his Thanksgiving trip to Mar-a-Lago, President Trump said he didn't want another Democrat in the Senate...which means he's more or less backing Republican Roy Moore over Democrat Doug Jones in the Alabama special election for Jeff Sessions' old Senate seat.

Moore, as you probably recall, faces sexual misconduct allegations involving teenage girls. At the time of those alleged incidents, Moore, now 70, was in his 30s.

"Roy Moore denies it," the president said. "That's all I can say."

Per statements from White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the president has previously said that he expected Moore to step aside if the allegations are true and that Alabama voters should decide the election for themselves.

Trump left it up in the air whether he'll campaign on behalf of Moore next week.

Congress has long ignored sexual harassment problems on the Hill

Seven years ago, lawmakers were told by Congress's Office of Compliance that they weren't doing enough to prevent sexual harassment.

The office, which handles sexual harassment complaints on Capitol Hill, urged lawmakers to mandate sexual harassment training for all office. That never happened.

But with allegations surfacing against two members of Congress - Sen. Al Franken and Rep. John Conyers -congressional leaders are finally saying they want to make changes.

"This is great that after seven years of making recommendations to Congress that we have been heard and they are undertaking the training," Susan Tsui Gundmann, executive director of the Office of Compliance, said. "The training is the floor. What really needs to change is the culture, and that comes through time."

TURKEY TIME

Tuesday marked one of our favorite things to happen every year in Washington: the annual turkey pardoning. How much do we love the pardoning? Enough that we drove out to visit the 2015 pardoned turkeys, Honest and Abe. Enough that we wrote about this year's turkeys, Wishbone and Drumstick . Enough that we even chuckled when the president joked that it had been recommended that he not overturn the pardons for last year's turkeys, Tater and Tot.

We wonder wattle happen next year.
