New year, new Trump? Maybe. Possibly. We'll see.

The president who once moved to end America's involvement with the Paris climate deal, North Korea talks and DACA now seems open to all three.

"Conceivably," he said, "under the right circumstances" and as long as it includes "the wall," respectively.

Also on Wednesday: Mueller time for Trump? The president called an interview for the Russia inquiry "unlikely."

Maybe. Possibly. We'll see. It's OP Today. Keep up here and subscribe here.

Trump now open to North Korea talks, which he once called a waste of time

A White House statement declared that Trump has "expressed his openness to holding talks between the United States and North Korea at the appropriate time, under the right circumstances." He previously lambasted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in October for "wasting his time " trying to negotiate with North Korea to reduce nuclear tensions.

Must love wall: Trump clarifies after approving of "clean" DACA bill

Trump promised a "bill of love" Tuesday to extend protections for 800,000 undocumented immigrants brought into the U.S. as children. He even lauded Democrats' idea for a "clean" bill to do so. "I would like to do that," Trump said in a public negotiation. But on Wednesday, Trump underscored a key condition : "It's got to include the wall." Trump has given lawmakers until March 5 to improve upon the program known as DACA.

Actually, Trump has 'no problem' with Paris climate deal. Except for this one problem he has with it.

The United States "could conceivably go back in" to the Paris climate agreement Trump said it would withdraw from last year, the president said, claiming he had "no problem" with the deal.

Of course, there's a condition to this.

"I am for massive oil and gas and everything else, and a lot of energy," he said Wednesday, stating new terms would have to not punish the U.S. for its wealth of fossil fuels. Trump said last year that he'd be willing to reconsider the decision.

Forgotten in DC's fracas: 9 million children's health insurance

A federal program that provides health insurance for 9 million lower-income children  still has an uncertain fate, left undone amid congressional efforts to provide tax cuts and repeal Obamacare. Funding for the federal-state matching program, known as CHIP, expired in September. Some provisions were covered by a short-term bill through March. But while the program has bipartisan support, disagreement remains on how to offset the program's costs.
