In a rebuke to Trump, the Senate votes to halt U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen

Fueled by bipartisan outrage over the Saudi kingdom's role in the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, the Senate voted to end U.S. military support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen. It marks the first time the Senate has successfully invoked the War Powers Act, a Vietnam-era law designed to limit the president's power to start or escalate military engagement.
