Women dominate Grammy nominations but Kendrick Lamar leads the field with 8 for ‘Black Panther’ soundtrack

Lamar and Drake may have received the most nominations, but there was much more recognition for women this year than in 2017. Female artists accounted for five of eight nominees for album of the year and six of the best new artist nominees.
