OnPolitics special edition: Thursday impeachment inquiry news
So much impeachment inquiry news, so little time. We break down what you need to know.

The week may be winding down, but the impeachment inquiry drama keeps rolling on. Here's what's new Thursday:

The biggest updates of the day

Trump wants China to investigate the Bidens, too: Already under investigation for asking Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joe Biden, President Donald Trump said Thursday that China should also investigate his political foe.

Asked if he had requested President Xi Jinping of China to help investigate the Biden family, Trump said, "I haven't but it is certainly something we could start thinking about." He was speaking with reporters en route to Florida for a Medicare speech.
"He (Trump) is repeatedly smearing me and my family," Biden said Wednesday. "His party fans out to carry the smear. Millions of dollars in dishonest attack ads are blanketing the airwaves - paid for by the special interests so well served by his presidency."

Public opinion continues to shift on whether to impeach. Americans by a 45%-38% plurality now support a vote by the House of Representatives to impeach President Donald Trump, according to a new USA TODAY/Ipsos poll of 1,006 adults taken Tuesday and Wednesday.

The partisan divide is huge: 74% of Democrats but just 17% of Republicans back impeachment.
By 2-1, those surveyed say there are valid reasons to investigate Joe Biden and his son for their behavior in Ukraine.
"Most importantly, an overwhelming majority of Americans say that a president is subject to laws like any citizen. Public opinion might be tolerant, but there are limits," said Cliff Young, president of Ipsos Public Affairs.

More to keep an eye on

Fox News' senior judicial analyst, Andrew Napolitano, said Thursday that the summary released by the White House of "The Call" demonstrates "both criminal and impeachable behavior" by Trump.
CNN says it won't air a Trump campaign ad featuring "false" claims against Biden.
In case you missed it - last night, Trump posted a parody video on Twitter targeting the Bidens and featuring a song from Nickleback. It's since been pulled down over copyright concerns.
Scroll through the drama of the impeachment inquiry, in photos. It's not Paris Fashion Week, but the pics are pretty gripping.
