Sen. Kamala Harris is scheduled to accept her nomination as former Vice President Joe Biden's running mate Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention, and former President Barack Obama will deliver the keynote address on Day 3 of the DNC. |
Barack Obama has earlier recorded a video with Biden discussing racial justice, the economy and healthcare. He will appear two nights after former first lady Michelle Obama delivered a forceful speech Monday against President Donald Trump. |
Biden chose Harris, D-Calif., recently enough that Michelle Obama didn't mention her in her recorded speech. But Harris, a former prosecutor and state attorney general, delivered a fiery speech Aug. 12 during her first appearance with Biden. Her selection was widely praised among Democratic activists who encouraged the selection of a Black woman for the first time on a major-party ticket and as the first Asian woman. |
How to watch |
DNC speeches will be broadcast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday. |
The event will be broadcast on all major television networks. Viewers also can tune in using Amazon Prime and Amazon Fire devices, including listening via Alexa, as well as watching on Apple TV and Roku TV. |
You can also follow along through USA TODAY's website, app, and social profiles. |
