Hi OnPolitics readers! The investigation into the cocaine found at the White House seemingly has more questions than answers, with the Secret Service concluding the inquiry without determining who brought the illegal drugs into the building.

"At this time, the Secret Service's investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence," the Secret Service said in a statement on Thursday, USA TODAY's Joey Garrison and Bart Jansen reported.

Wait, really? The FBI didn't find fingerprints or DNA on the bag of cocaine, according to a summary of findings from the Secret Service. Officials also searched surveillance footage and visitor logs of hundreds of people who had access to the lobby where the substance was found.

The cocaine was found July 2, while President Joe Biden was away from the White House at Camp David, the country residence of the presidency.

'A farce': Republicans were immediately skeptical about the results of the investigation.

"You can't tell me in the White House with 24/7 surveillance and a cubbyhole by a situation room you don't know who left it there," House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told reporters. "The American people think that's a farce."

The Ukrainian President visited Washington to meet with Biden and US lawmakers. President Zelenskyy will also address a joint meeting of Congress at the Capitol during his first trip outside his country since Russia began its violent invasion of Ukraine in February.

As Ukraine stages a counteroffensive, some American voters and lawmakers are increasingly skeptical of sending more aid to Kyiv.
