Greetings! It's Rebecca Morin, senior national news reporter at USA TODAY. |
Just one day until Election Day. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are in their final push to appeal to voters who have yet to cast their ballot. We have you covered with all the updates here. |
Trump and Harris remain close in polling ahead of Election Day |
Do you ever wish you could look in a crystal ball and know the Election Day results? Sadly, that's not how it works. The only guide we have now are the snapshots from polling. With just one day until Election Day, surveys are still tight between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump . Nationally, Trump and Harris are tied, both getting support from 49% of registered voters in the latest NBC News poll. Read more. |
But the political world was thrown into a frenzy over the weekend for one poll: the Des Moines Register's final Iowa poll before the election. The poll has Harris 3-points ahead of Trump in a state the former president won in both 2016 and 2020. Now, does that mean Harris will win the state? We won't know until after Tuesday. But here's how Harris leapfrogged over the Ruby Red state. |
It's clear the polls aren't the only ones who can't agree on what Tuesday's election outcome will be. Two of the nation's leading election prognosticators, Allan Lichtman and Nate Silver, are also split on who will be the next commander-in-chief. |
Final day on the campaign trail |
Harris and Trump are on the last day of the campaign trail, with the vice president zigzagging across Pennsylvania and the former president in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
