RFK Jr. ditches COVID vaccine recommendation for children, pregnant women |
The COVID-19 vaccine will no longer be included in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommended immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Tuesday. The change comes after the Food and Drug Administration said on May 20 it planned to require clinical trials for approval of the annual COVID-19 boosters for healthy individuals under the age of 65. US stocks open higher on delayed EU tariffs |
The U.S. stocks opened higher after President Trump said he would delay 50% tariffs on the European Union until July 9 to allow for more trade negotiations. Investors were relieved the president backed off. The threat of the tariffs had depressed stocks on Friday.
