Today we're introducing you to the dating app influencer tasked with helping staff the next Republican administration: John McEntee.

While the 33-year-old Californian is well-known for starring in video skits that parody the political left for conservatives-only dating app The Right Stuff, McEntee served as an aide to former President Donald Trump and was once dubbed the "deputy president."

His role: McEntee has been tasked with pairing political appointee candidates with the next conservative presidential administration as part of the Heritage Foundation's 2025 Presidential Transition Project, or "Project 2025," USA TODAY reporter Ella Lee writes.

The former Trump staffer is responsible for building out the "Presidential Personnel Database," which means collecting resumes and vetting potential applicants in advance of a possible transition to a conservative administration in January 2025.

An inside look: McEntee is taking a page out of the "Bachelor" franchise's book as he looks for candidates both in and outside Washington to staff a future GOP administration – seeking those here "for the right reasons."
