89 seconds to midnight: 'Doomsday Clock' ticks forward, scientists say

The Doomsday Clock – which measures how close humanity is to destroying itself – will get its annual reset on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10 am EST.

The metaphorical clock measures how close humanity is to self-destruction, because of nuclear disaster, climate change, AI and misinformation.
