| | The U.S. Department of Justice is not expected to charge officers in the shooting of Sterling, a person familiar with the matter told USA TODAY. Sterling was selling CDs outside of a gas station convenience store when approached by police and was shot and killed last July. Video of the incident ignited protests and national condemnation last summer.
