Happy Tuesday! It's Rebecca Morin, senior national news reporter at USA TODAY.

It's officially Election Night. Donald Trump is holding an election watch party in Palm Beach, Florida. Kamala Harris will have her watch party at Howard University, her alma mater, in Washington, D.C. Follow along here for all the updates with the candidates, at the polls and of the election.

The end of a dramatic, intense 2024 presidential election

The 2024 election between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is coming to an end. Soon, we will know who will be the next president of the United States. Spoiler alert: we likely won't know the projected winner for president by the end of the evening. Results will begin trickling in after polls close and there are some states that are anticipated to be really close. In 2020, it took four days to know the results. Read more.
